Our site required a 165m closed panel wooden fence to be replaced which needed to be maintenance free and presentable over a long term period. We had seen Colourfence at several residences around Cambridgeshire and were immediately impressed by the high quality and obvious durability it offered. We had decided not to have a closed panel wooden fence again as we have continuous problems with them blowing over in the wind and requiring maintenance each year to stop them rotting. Colourfence offers the desired aesthetics of a traditional wooden fence but has none of its draw backs.

The Colourfence team were very organised and fully prepared to complete the job efficiently. In five days they had managed to take down the old fence and install the new one! This was not helped by the fact that the ground was much harder than anyone had anticipated and that the ground level was not even. I am still impressed that looking down the 165m long fence line, it is perfectly straight – unlike the old wooden fence! Within this fence line we have a set of gates which were replaced several weeks after the Colourfence installation. The Colourfence team were very helpful and made several site visits to ensure that the Colourfence and new gates would come together perfectly.

Since the Colourfence has been installed, we have had many comments from neighbours at how impressive it looks and how it has enhanced the area. Even during its installation, the Colourfence guys had people approach them for information on the fence.     

Overall I was very impressed at how organised the Colourfence team were and forthcoming in advise. The fence itself is a vast improvement for the site and has the durability to keep looking good for many years. We have another 165m fence to replace next year and we will definitely be using Colourfence again.

We had a colourfence installed in January 2009, the reason for choosing Colourfence was due to needing a replacement for an old panel fence, 6ft high which had rotted out, living with a large German Shepherd with nervous aggression meant that our fences did not last as long as they possibly could have.

Since having this, it has proven to be absolutely fantastic, it is north facing and gets the full blast of the English weather and the dog leaves it alone.

I have just given it it’s 6 monthly wash which takes a lot less effort than painting and is a lot quicker, the posts are secure, and it looks as good as new again. I removed a lot of debris – trees etc – prior to installation and overall it was fully done within a day in the middle of winter.

The brown option, 5ft with a 1ft trellis on top, looks really good and matches in with the rest of the garden both internally and externally. It was great working with Sharone on this job, he’s a fun person to be around and I remember the looks on people’s faces walking by once the frame was erected and how quick the panels and ball caps were fitted, even after 2 years you notice how much better they are than conventional wooden fences in the area.

On a cost comparison they seem a lot more than cheap panels from the DIY stores, a little more than a premium panel or featheredge fence but they ARE definitely stronger, cheaper in the long term and exceedingly  better looking.

Overall – Colourfence – a great product which will enhance your property and save you time and money in the long term.

We are so pleased with our Colourfence and the pleasant service we received throughout. At the initial meeting we were taken through a breakdown of costs, quotations and shown photographs of previous installations which showed the choice of fencing and colour combinations. We were also given locations of installations within our area where we could view the actual fencing material.

Installation was completed very efficiently and the result was excellent. The fence looks very attractive and as a very welcome bonus needs no maintenance, other than a wash down once a year.

We like the fencing so much we are thinking of going back to Colourfence for more next year!
